Native to the Southwestern United States, the piñon pine tree is an ancient and important part of our local pinyon-juniper woodlands. Pinus edulis is known to live 1000 years, celebrated as New Mexico's state tree, and stoically withstands drought and wildfire. Not only are the nuts delicious and nutritious, but the trementina de piñon or piñon pine resin is a sacred tree resin that has been used for centuries to heal wounds and clear energies.

This golden and richly red colored resin may be used to stengthen fertility, raise compassion and sharpen mental focus. Burn it alone, or combine with other incense resins for a combination fit for an oracle. Bring the warming scent of piñon pine into your home, no matter where you live.

Piñon has a smooth, southwestern aroma and is unlike other pine resins. It is warm, fresh and cozy as a campfire. It reminds us of christmas, with tingly notes of cinnamon spice and everything nice.

Thoughtfully gathered by us, by hand, in Northern New Mexico.

  • Why the different colors?

White Piñon Resin: Bright, citrusy, sweet and floral. Throws open the door in a warm, confident greeting. These younger resin droplets are bursting with volatile oils.

Amber Piñon Resin: Amber deliciousness. Still sweet, but shy. The bright top notes have worn away with age, but readily kiss you on the lips with sunshine. More rare, but these resin beads catch the sunlight like a precious rubies and you can't look away!

Classic Piñon Resin: A warm cup of cocoa with a whiff of chamomile. Deep, rich, almost leathery but perfectly pine. You have to sniff it to believe it.
